Here are a few of Coach Debbie’s favorite books and videos:

Mindset: The Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck

  • A resource I have referenced for several years. This book expands the understanding of how our inner beliefs and dialogue impact our behaviors and actions. Understanding the difference between a “growth” mindset and a “fixed” mindset to invite you to really examine what may be getting your way of achieving what you want to achieve.

Atlas of the Heart by Brene' Brown

  • A beautiful guide to mapping the stories, emotions and experiences that impact the depth of connection to yourself and others.

Atomic Habits by James Clear

  • I am on my 4th read of this life changing book. Every time it seeps a bit deeper in how my habits impact my life and success. A guide to build the good habits you wish to build and break the habits that are no longer serving you.

The Four Disciplines of Execution

  • While this book is geared towards how to get you and your teams to focus on the Wildly Important Goals (WIG’s) it also has application in personal focus on achieving what you determine is most important to achieve.

Immunity to Change by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey

  • A deep dive into the underlying internal thoughts/behaviors that get in our way of dealing with change. Even those changes we logically KNOW we need to make, but emotionally struggle. Great tools are included to really dig deep if you are willing.

The Big Quit Survival Guide by Merrylue Martin

  • This book is a great toolkit for leaders to retain and retain the best talent for their organization in today’s new talent war. Every section has worksheets and resources to help today’s leaders. Great actionable tools here.
